The beginning of a great
transformation
For many people textile waste means the end of a process. However, for us, it´s just the beginning of a huge transformation that is able to create products that are trully aligned with sustainability and life.
To find creative solutions for pre-consumer textile waste is what moves us as a group of initiatives, after all, it is essential for us to develop conscientely, by reusing and transforming what we create, extending the lifetime of materials which are potentially recycleable.
1 Collect products
Collect raw material
The patches, scopes and parings are obtained from textile industries that look for a correct and more sustainable destination for their waste.
2 Sorting
Sorting and organization by colors
After collecting the textile waste, it is chosen and sorted manually based on the type and color.
The waste originated from previous collections of the textile sector is reused and a new meaning is attributed to it.
3 Recovery
Recovery and fiber recycling
Once fibers are sorted by color the waste goes through a fiber recovery process and is transformed into recycled textile fibers.
4 Spinning
Transformation of the recovered fibers into textile yarns.
The recovered fibers goes back to the spinning processand are specially used to manufacture EuroRoma ecological yarns and strings. Those products of solid colors do not need any coloring process because this production process makes use of the color of the knitting patch previously sorted.
5 New Cycle
New sustainable products
Besides contributing yearly, to give tons of solid waste a more noble destination having less impact on the environment. EuroRoma yarns and strings are favourable to empower many artisans that are very creative and transform our yarns into art. At this stage, a new cycle is started since natural resources will be fully used.
